Indian Oaks Project

In November 2015, City of Lewisville voters approved a bond  package that included street, park, and public safety projects. Proposition 1 set aside $71.6 million for arterial and neighborhood streets including selected street replacements in the Indian Oaks Neighborhood. On February 15, 2021, City Council awarded a contract to Garver Engineering to begin design work on these improvements. The City’s plan is to replace the old water and sewer lines, improve roadway drainage and upgrade the roadways from asphalt to concrete while maintaining the existing look and feel of the neighborhood. There are no plans to install sidewalks, curbs, or gutters. Design is about 60% complete and construction is expected to begin winter/spring of 2023.
